Awareness
Deutsche Version: Auf Deutsch lesen
GrooveStation aims to be a space where people feel safe, respected and welcome. For us, awareness means taking responsibility for each other – on the dancefloor, in the crowd and within the team.
Respect is the foundation of our community – regardless of gender, origin, appearance, disability, sexuality or religion. Violence as well as sexism, racism, misogyny, queerphobia or ableism have no place here.
If boundaries are crossed or someone feels uncomfortable, we offer support quickly, discreetly and in the interest of the affected person.
How to get help
If you feel threatened, harassed or uncomfortable, please talk to our staff at the entrance, at the bar or to security. We take every situation seriously and will try to find a solution together.
If you notice that another person might need help, speak to them or inform our staff. Don’t assume someone else will take care of it.
You do not have to explain or justify your experience or observation.
If you need support, you can contact our team at any time – without pressure and anonymously if you prefer.
Celebrating together
- No means no. Physical contact or touching only happens with consent.
- Even if something was “not meant that way”: if someone feels uncomfortable, their boundaries must be respected.
- Alcohol or other substances are never an excuse for abusive or disrespectful behaviour.
- The dancefloor belongs to everyone – give space, be considerate and look out for each other.
- Keep your T-shirt on. Undressing in the crowd and forcing naked body contact on others is not acceptable.
If you want, you can get a lid for your drink at the bar.
You can find the specific rules that apply here in our house rules.
